Bloomwiz Security · Quantum
Quantum Security
Data stolen today can be decrypted later. We find where your cryptography lives, rank what matters, and plan the move to quantum-safe algorithms before the deadline arrives.
- Aligned to NIST PQC standards
- Cryptographic inventory first
- Readiness in a few weeks
- Phased migration
The risk
Why this is a problem today
A large enough quantum computer will break RSA and elliptic curve cryptography, which protect almost every login, payment, certificate and software update. Migration takes years, and regulators and large customers have started setting dates.
Meanwhile, encrypted data captured today can be stored and read later. If your data must stay confidential for ten years, the clock has already started.
Most exposed
- Long lived health, financial and identity records
- Intellectual property
- Devices that are hard to update in the field
- Certificates and code signing
Services
What we do
| Service | What it covers |
|---|---|
| Cryptographic inventory | Algorithms, keys, certificates, libraries and protocols across applications, infrastructure, cloud and suppliers. |
| Quantum risk assessment | Each use ranked by the sensitivity and shelf life of the data it protects. |
| Migration roadmap | A phased, costed plan to NIST’s post-quantum standards, including hybrid schemes during the transition. |
| Architecture advisory | Crypto-agile design for new systems, so the next algorithm change is configuration, not a rewrite. |
Aligned to FIPS 203 (ML-KEM), FIPS 204 (ML-DSA) and FIPS 205 (SLH-DSA).
Method
How it runs
The readiness assessment takes a few weeks. Migration follows in phases, highest risk first.
- 01
Discover
Build the cryptographic inventory.
- 02
Assess
Rank each use by exposure.
- 03
Plan
A phased roadmap with owners and dates.
- 04
Prove
Migrated systems tested and the inventory updated.
Deliverables
What you receive
- A cryptographic inventory you can keep current.
- A quantum risk register ranked by exposure.
- A phased roadmap with effort, cost and vendor dependencies.
- An executive summary in plain language.
The readiness assessment is quoted on the size of the estate, after a free scoping call.
Fixing it
Migration by an engineering company
Most quantum advice stops at the roadmap. Bloomwiz builds and runs applications and cloud infrastructure, so the same team can update the libraries, rotate the certificates and test that nothing broke.
FAQ
Frequently asked questions
What is post-quantum cryptography?
Post-quantum cryptography (PQC) is a set of public key algorithms designed to resist attack by quantum computers. NIST published the first standards in 2024: ML-KEM for key establishment, and ML-DSA and SLH-DSA for digital signatures.
What does harvest now, decrypt later mean?
Attackers record encrypted data today and store it until a quantum computer can decrypt it. Data that must stay confidential for years is therefore at risk now.
Is it too early to start?
No. Migration takes years, and it cannot be planned without knowing where your cryptography is. An inventory is useful today in its own right, because it also finds weak and expired cryptography.
What is crypto-agility?
Crypto-agility is the ability to change cryptographic algorithms through configuration rather than rewriting systems, so future changes are faster and cheaper.
